3 Things PayLease Is Thankful For
#1 Growth
Over the past couple of years, we have welcomed almost 150 talented individuals to our team. Although they may be new to the PayLease family, the knowledge they bring from previous experiences is invaluable to our growth as a company. Even with all of these new faces, PayLease has managed to continue to promote from within, giving those who know our product backwards and forwards the opportunity to move up and use their expertise in a more influential way. At the beginning of the year, we hit our big hairy audacious goal of processing over one million transactions within a month, and we are now striving towards 2.5 million. We are most thankful for the fact that hitting our BHAG meant that our CEO, Dave Dutch, could finally cut his hair (a vow he took when the BHAG was set). PayLeasers are grateful that Dave no longer looks like Dog the Bounty Hunter (no, that’s not a wig).
We are thankful we now have two offices… We get to call San Diego our original home base, a space to focus on payment processing (our bread and butter), with gorgeous beaches and a perfect climate to boot. In terms of growth though, we love our new office in Chicago, a fantastic city, with extremely talented folks developing and refining our Utility Expense Management, Resident Billing, and Submetering products.
At PayLease, we are never satisfied, and that is a great thing! Every PayLeaser is excited to make changes in order to find the best process or solution, and for that we are thankful.
#2 Culture
If you have read any of our recent blogs, followed us social media, or know any PayLeasers personally, then you’re aware that we have THE BEST company culture. From our office decorating contest, to our Halloween costume parade, to our beloved PayLease Olympics, the ‘work-hard, play-hard’ mentality is always celebrated. We are grateful to be able to bond with coworkers outside of the office, especially because PayLeasers across all departments tend to have a friendly, inclusive, fun-loving attitude. PayLease provides plenty of awesome opportunities for teammates to bond, like the San Diego Padres game, the Chicago White Sox game, the Del Mar horse races, the Chicago boat cruise, and the holiday party (which usually includes Vegas-style table games, a dance floor, and an open bar).
Our coveted company culture is one of the main reasons for our glowing Glassdoor reviews, and parallel to that, the reason that over half of our employees were referred by PayLeasers. We were also included in the San Diego Business Journal’s 100 Best Places to Work list for the fifth consecutive year.
We are so thankful for our amazing team whose ‘all-in’ attitude makes PayLease a great place to work!
#3 Clients
We are thankful for each and every one of our clients! Conferences, trade shows, and client visits are the perfect opportunity to check in, and make sure everyone is happy with our products and customer service. This year we were able to chat with our wonderful clients, and we sincerely appreciate all of their feedback. If you are a past, present or future client, we love you and thank you for letting us do what we do best to help improve your business.
